2009 Already???

OK OK I know its been ages since I last posted but I've been trying to avoid the computer a bit lately.
So a quick rundown on whats been happening since my last post.
Well Alice and Janice left us on the 27th. Alice flew out in the morning then the rest of us headed down to Plymouth to see the location of the first landing and Plymouth Rock etc. Can I just say UNDERWHELMING. its a good thing they've put a giant pavillion up around the rock otherwise you might mistake it for any other little rock! Plymouth itself seemed like a very pretty little town, though at least half of it was closed of course...
New Years Eve we celebrated by lighting a fire in the family room and having a quiet night around the fire. nope we didn't make it till midnight - in bed by about 10...
We also took a trip out to Newport to see all the mansions, but just saw a lot of fog instead, and a trip up to Lowell which was the Birthplace of Americas Industrial revolutions. We a good day out, Lexie got to practice her walking - and wasn't she proud of herself.
Though as you can see below, Lexie was a bit buggered by the end of te day, so much so that she fell asleep whilst riding on Daddys shoulders.
Then it was Mum and Dads turn to leave us on the 4th January. Very sad, It was great having them here for the holiday and we all definately miss them. So now we're back to a household of three.
Lexie is up and about now - no more crawling for her its walking all the way now, shes getting really steady.
About a week ago we went with a bunch of Bills workmates back down to Providence to watch the Providence Bruins play hockey. They're a feeder team for the Boston Bruins in the national league. We al had a great time. Lexie got passed around again making tonnes of new friends - I didn't see her the entire night, though I did notice that she was very interested in the actual game spent plenty of time staring intently at the rink...
A couple of nights later we had another big night out with a bunch of Aussies. Went to a fancy Italian restaurant in Wrentham. Again Lexie was an angel and was happy to sit for hours munching on some bread whilst we caught up.
Apart from that its been pretty boring around here lately. Lexie and I have joined two new playgroups, though unfortunately not many others did. The Tuesday group consists of Lexie and two other little boys and the Thursday group there were only two of us at so we had to join in with the slightly older kids. Not ideal but still it gets us out of the house!
